If you are like the NoFairway.com guys, you have read countless tips, reviews, and articles written by pros or scratch golfers. These are all great sources for advice, but what about the little guys?

If I shoot in the 100's, I'm not choosing a course based on if it has Bermuda grass or bent grass. I want to know if I am going to enjoy my day on the links or become frustrated by the six dog legs that I stand no chance of parring. I want to know what the drink-cart girls look like and the selection of food, drinks, and bathrooms. Am I going to get ripped off in the proshop when I need to replace the nine iron that I just threw in the lake?

Twin Bridges

Merril, Michigan doesn't seem like the first place to go when seeking a quality golf course. But, I was pleasantly surprised by what I found when I arrived at this sprawling acreage. Although a flat course, the twists and bends supply enough of a challenge to give many a golfer fits. Playing from the back tees doesn't make the course too difficult, even for the below average player, but it does give some very creative looks.

It features a two story driving range, par 3 course, on-site custom shafts, grips, and every major golf brand for both men and women. Their full featured training facility, known as the King Par Academy, employs Bill Baldwin, PGA Master Golf Professional and 2009 Michigan PGA Teacher of the Year! The academy houses the new TrackMan, which claims to "teach you more about your game in an hour than in an entire year".
