Pros:
This is actually three nine hole courses in which you can choose from to compromise your eighteen. The variety between the three is a nice touch.
The North Course is gorgeous with top quality landscaping features.
This golf course features something for every kind of golfer. Long hitters, short game masters, and target golfers will all find a nine that suits their game (see my Final Thoughts for details).
Cons:
The West Course is bordered by farm land. This isn't typically a con for a golf course, but the smell of manure was heavy during my visit due to a westerly wind. If you are sensitive to that sort of thing, stick with the North and East courses.
One of my biggest peaves took place during my outting, course maintenance. I started on the North Course and had to wait multiple times for grounds keepers to move out of my shot. With the busy day, it didn't take long to find people start piling up behind me while in wait. I even had to wait for a mower to get off of the green so I could make my 20 yard chip and then try concentrating on my putt while he finished off the fringe.
I understand course maintenance is a part of life, but a little heads-up from the staff would have been appreciated, I could have started on the East or West while they finished mowing. I had to knock their "Staff Customer Service" rating down one notch for this error.
Would you play it again, and why?
Not only will I be playing again, but I will be bringing a group of friends with me. This course is one to be shared with fellow golfers, the North especially.
19th Hole / Drink Cart?
The course has a multi-level restaurant and bar as well as a few golf essentials (balls, gloves, pull-over jacket if too cold). The bar looked well stocked and even had my favorite summer ale, Bell's Oberon, on tap! They also had an outdoor seatting area with sun shade. I plan on stopping in again for the restaurant alone.
I did not see a drink cart during my visit.
Final Thoughts / Side Notes on the Course:
The East Nine plays short with only one hole over 350 yards.
The West Nine plays long with three holes under 330 yards.
The North Nine is a balance between the two for distance, but has water featured on every hole. There is truly something for everyone.
